NEW CPC HGV EXAMINATION SYLLABUS

The CPC Course Syllabus is divided into two modules,
 

• Module R1 Multichoice - (CPC Course)

National & International Assessment in Road Haulage Operations.

(60 multiple choice questions to be answered in 120 minutes. Pass mark is 70%)

Structure of Law - Business and Company Law - Social Legislation

 Financial Management Techniques - Commercial Conduct of Business - General Insurance  Vehicle Maintenance - General Traffic Regulations - Vehicle Taxation

 Marketing - Methods of Operating - Operator Licensing - Weights and Dimensions of Vehicles.
Vehicle Selection - Safety of Loads - Mechanical Condition - Driver’s Hours and records Vocational Driving Licences - Speed Limits -Traffic Accident Procedure

Vehicle and Goods Insurance
 

• Module R2 Case Study Assessment - (CPC Course)

Case Study Assessment in Road Haulage Operations

(5 - 8 questions to be answered in 120 minutes. Pass mark is 50%)

Import / Export Procedures - Community Transit System - Customs Documentation

Updating from National to International Certificates

Candidates who achieved their National Certificate prior to 4th December 2011 and wish to upgrade to an International Certificate must do so before December 2012.

Candidates who have achieved some OCR CPC units prior to 4th December 2011 will need to take the full  new examinations.

    

THE OCR EXAMINATION

To gain your National & International CPC you must pass the relevant CPC examinations. They are conducted four times per year at approved Oxford, Cambridge and RSA (OCR) examination centres.

The examination are held four times a year in,  March, June, September and December.  

 (Next Exam Friday 2nd March 2012)

Certification
Candidates will receive a  full certificate automatically once the required results is achieved.

Certificates are normally issued with results 8 weeks after the examination date.
 

OCR Exam Fees

Effective 2012 Fees are based on current OCR administrative procedures.

The following fees will be payable to your chosen exam centre.
